Created by famed dance company Pilobolus, Pilobolus is a Fungus is “Immersive and interactive,” bringing “kids up onstage,” getting them “moving in their seats,” demonstrating “how Pilobolus created” works, intending to “encourage students to put their phones down and look up at the world!”  The audience takes a journey through nature, perceiving the sounds, shapes, colors and movements of birds, water, trees, and of course, our namesake fungus, in new and unexpected ways.  With the help of the Pilobolus dancers, audience members learn to express their deep connection to the world through movement and dance.

 Bobby McFerrin Open Rehearsal - Saturday, March 7, 2020 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. (Time may change…)

Listen to Bobby McFerrin and his groundbreaking a cappella group Gimme5 rehearse for their Circlesongs performance.  Bobby’s exhilarating vocal vocabulary – call and response, global rhythms, soaring melodies, lush harmonies, funny noises, invented language, silence, prayers, and laughter – will remind your students of how much fun it is to be alive, to lift our voices and communicate with one another, to make a joyful noise.
