Herman Rusch

Created by environment builder Herman Rusch (1885-1985), this sculpture replicates one of the conical elements of Rusch’s 260-foot arched periphery which spans the north perimeter of the Prairie Moon Sculpture Garden in Cochrane, WI. The sculpture was commissioned by Martin Friedman, then director of the Walker Arts Center in Minneapolis for the groundbreaking 1974 Naives and Visionaries exhibition at the Walker. The sculpture has been gifted to the John Michael Kohler Arts Center, Sheboygan, WI.
